No training plan works better than one that is designed around a particular athlete’s needs and characteristics. Though some athletes may be able to find generic “cookie-cutter” programs on the web, none of these plans will offer the kind of customization that you need to reach your potential. Your Vitality Sport coach will consider many factors when constructing your plan each month. These include athletic background, age, health history, goals, physiology, career, family life, commitment level, travel schedule, and more.

Consultation

Whether you are asking for guidance or we’re discussing your training program, various means of communication can be used. These include phone, email, text, video conferencing, and/or face-to-face interactions.

Biomechanical Analysis

The motions executed in sports such as cycling and running are complex. Thus, an understanding of exercise physiology and physics is required to ensure that your anatomy is properly aligned for maximally efficient movement. Your coach at Vitality Sport offers a level of expertise in biomechanics that far surpasses that of other coaches. We study every detail from anatomical position to equipment, physiological constraints, and technique.

Nutrition Plans

Endurance athletes place tremendous demands on their metabolic systems. The science of making energy available and usable for performance is an integral part of modern sport, so Vitality Sport is here to help you make dietary changes geared towards your objectives. These changes may involve tweaking your intake ratio for carbohydrates, protein, and fats; or they may prescribe vitamin supplements, a caloric intake adjustment, or an increase in certain foods depending on activity and goals. By first doing a dietary analysis and then assisting you in implementing a new plan, your coach can help you achieve ideal weight (for maximizing power-to-weight ratio), stay healthy, and become as energetically efficient as possible.

Fitness Evaluations

To determine your starting point at the beginning of the season, a fitness evaluation is necessary to establish a baseline off which to measure improvements in performance. Your coach at Vitality Sport will assess several aspects of your current physiological characteristics such as flexibility, body mass index, anaerobic threshold, and power output near lactate threshold. The data offered up from these evaluations will help us make biomechanical adjustments, establish your intensity zones (which are based on watts in cycling), formulate a dietary plan, assess the feasibility of your objectives, and construct your customized training program.

Remote Coaching

Though having face-to-face training sessions has obvious benefits, they are often not possible because you may live far from the coaching services you need. At Vitality Sport, seamless communication between athlete and coach can occur thanks to video-conferencing, email, phone, text, and training software platforms.

On-site Coaching

Face-to-face sessions include physiological tests and biomechanical analyses, as well as guided practice of skills such as strength training, stretching, sport movement, mental discipline, tactical decision-making, and equipment maintenance.

Training Sessions

These lessons involve putting into practice the skills and theories we discuss. The skills we rehearse could range greatly from those of beginners to those of advanced elite athletes; but they will all revolve around some aspect of technique, physiological performance, psychological conditioning, or tactics.

Training Camps
